OFFICE DESIGN PROJECTS
Flexible working is designed to suit the employees needs and enhance the work/life balance people are striving for. There are various ways to implement a flexible working culture into a workplace to allow both working life and personal life to complement each other.
Studies have shown increased employee wellbeing when flexible working schemes are in place.
Some examples of potential areas to explore are:
Agile working is an environment with minimum constraints on the employee and should promote diverse working and social interaction with colleagues. An agile workspace should be designed to offer flexible and varied working environments and promote both fixed desks and 'less formal' working areas as equally acceptable environments to work from.
Studies have shown that companies who adopt a diverse and agile work space have happier staff who show an increase in productivity and job satisfaction.
By offering employees more control of their working day you will get a higher performing workforce.
Below highlights some of the design features incorporated within agile workspaces:
Agile working benefits both employees and employers, agile furniture can sit more people per Square metre than standard desk setups, this allows companies to potentially function from smaller premises with the same number of employees.
Improving the workforces productivity levels also has a direct effect on the profitability of each employee and therefore the profitability and performance of the business itself.
Agile working schemes are key to retaining your prized employees whilst attracting the new exciting talents. Millennial and Gen-Z workers are looking for more than a desk and tea point when deciding on their next career move, agile working meets the needs of the new workforces.
We need to be creating forward thinking environments with agile working cultures.
