STADIA INTERIOR DESIGN
Layrd delivered a comprehensive interior design scheme for Sheffield United Football Club's Pavilion Lounge at their iconic Bramall Lane stadium. The 580-square-metre space has been transformed from a dated blank canvas into a sophisticated hospitality venue that serves both match-day experiences and corporate events.
The existing space presented significant challenges - a dated environment lacking personality and identity that failed to represent the club's aspirations. Without clear zones, the space didn't meet the diverse needs of modern stadium hospitality.
The brief called for a premium setting that could elevate the club's hospitality offering while maintaining flexibility for diverse uses. The design creates a journey through the space, beginning with a striking new entrance that leads guests past an elegant copper-finished bar to their seating. The club’s identity is carefully balanced with contemporary luxury, incorporating subtle references to Sheffield United's heritage without relying on obvious branding.

The material palette combines deep reds, concrete textures, warm oak, and carefully chosen greys to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The feature wall immediately captures attention upon entry, while the dark ceiling, enhanced with new linear lighting and acoustic timber rafts, creates an atmosphere, also solving practical challenges of sound control.
An innovative approach to zoning uses varied flooring treatments and seating configurations to naturally define different areas within the space. The space planning was carefully considered to maximise revenue potential, with long bench seating and intimate booth areas offering versatility for match-day hospitality and corporate functions.
