The Level Head Lounge
Layrd collaborated with Ipswich Town Football Club to design The Level Head Lounge, a sophisticated hospitality suite that celebrates the club’s longstanding partnership with Greene King.
Delivered alongside R G Carter Construction, the project introduces a fresh take on matchday hospitality, blending the contemporary feel of a modern sports bar with the warmth and charm of classic pub culture.
The layout was carefully planned to ensure full DDA compliance while maintaining a welcoming, open atmosphere.
A dark ceiling sets a premium tone across the space, while strategic injections of colour, drawn from Level Head’s branding, bring a sense of vibrancy and energy. Working closely with Greene King, we ensured every visual detail reflected the brand’s identity while aligning with the character of the club.
Custom vinyl graphics applied to walls and the bar reinforce brand storytelling, while practical design choices like stackable seating and a bespoke booth make the most of the space without sacrificing style.
Acoustic panels in wave-like forms. offer both visual interest and essential sound control, subtly referencing both the ITFC crest and the River Orwell. Architectural detailing inspired by the stadium’s stands is echoed in custom wall panelling, anchoring the space within the club’s broader environment. Decorative strip lighting, layered with track-mounted fixtures, enhances the exposed ceiling and adds a warm, inviting atmosphere across day and night.
Named after Greene King’s modern craft ale, the Level Head Lounge is designed to reflect both the refined quality of the drink and the approachable nature of its audience. Accommodating approximately 48 guests, the space strikes a balance between premium hospitality and the relaxed, sociable feel of a traditional pub experience.
