Chester Racecourse

Premium Hospitality Boxes

We met the Chester Racecourse team at a stadium business summit, where they shared a clear and exciting vision: reimagine their practical but uninspired hospitality boxes into spaces with real character. While functional, the existing suites lacked atmosphere.

They were blank canvases ready to be brought to life.

A new look for Chester Racecourse

The team wanted interiors that felt unmistakably Chester - rooted in the city’s racing heritage but with a contemporary edge. These spaces also needed to be highly functional, comfortably hosting 24–30 guests across a range of uses, from race day thrills to corporate entertaining.

Colour-drenching became a defining feature of the design. Inspired by Chester’s bold new branding, we leaned into rich reds and deep greens, balancing them with walnut accents for warmth and depth.

From bespoke joinery with reeded panelling to layered decorative lighting, we made sure each hospitality box felt premium and personal. Brass finishes add a refined touch, while integrated digital screens allow content to shift seamlessly between race-day data, artwork and live sport.

Bright & Bold

Racing heritage meets contemporary comfort in bold, colour-drenched spaces designed for every occasion.

Named after . acecourse icons, The Lily Agnes Suite and The Watergate Suite, the spaces honour local heritage while feeling future-focused

Thoughtful space planning ensures natural flow between bar and dining zones, and sustainable choices were woven throughout the build, including Interface flooring, real planting and eco-conscious fabrics.

We loved working on this project because it was all about finding that perfect balance. These spaces needed to feel like they belonged at Chester - somewhere you'd expect to find at a racecourse with such incredible history - but they also had to feel fresh and exciting for today's guests.

Each box ended up with its own personality, which creates this lovely sense of discovery and exclusivity. Getting that mix of heritage and contemporary design just right was the real challenge, but that's exactly what makes these spaces feel both special and timeless.
