Halo Premium Hospitality Box

Layrd collaborated with Halo, one of Ipswich Town Football Club’s (ITFC) main sponsors. We designed and delivered a premium hospitality box in just four weeks.

Working to a tight deadline ahead of the first home game of the season, our team delivered a high-end, branded environment that reflects Halo’s bold identity while providing a relaxed, social atmosphere for guests.

This project showcases Layrd’s expertise in stadium interior design, corporate hospitality fit-outs, and bespoke commercial spaces.

Transforming the space to reflect Halo’s identity

The original box offered premium pitch views but lacked personality. We transformed it into a space that truly reflects Halo’s brand, creating an environment that feels modern, social and engaging.

Designed to host up to 28 guests on matchdays, the box was envisioned as an interactive, relaxed bar atmosphere. Layrd proposed a lively perch-bar environment featuring integrated AV, varied seating heights, comfortable lounge zones, and a striking central bar as the focal point.

Completed in August 2025, the overall design centred on a dark, moody bar-like atmosphere, enhanced with striking lighting that draws attention to key signage throughout the space. The illuminated pitch-facing signage not only reinforces Halo’s presence internally but also ensures strong visibility to the exterior.

Featured furniture, lighting and materials

The focal point is a bespoke central table surrounded by custom joinery and perch benches that encourage informal social interaction. A minimalist wall design seamlessly integrates three recessed screens, allowing multiple fixtures to be displayed simultaneously on matchdays – creating a vibrant sports-bar energy.

The table itself features a reeded surround base and a custom tabletop with recessed mosaic tiles. Every wall slat and joinery element was bespoke, precisely made to fit the space.

From panelling with cut-in details to illuminated pitch-facing signs and LED wall-washing lights, each detail has been carefully considered to ensure the space captures the perfect atmosphere during events.

We selected durable, responsibly sourced materials for the flooring, finishes, and fabrics. The design also prioritises longevity, freestanding furniture can be disassembled, relocated, and reused in future settings.

Ensuring minimal waste and extends the lifecycle of every element, aligning with both Layrd’s sustainability values and Halo’s forward-thinking ethos.

Emily Batten, Head of Stadia Design

The design of the Halo hospitality box was guided by the company’s strong, modern brand. Translating this identity into the interior came naturally, with contemporary and bespoke elements reflecting the brand’s forward-thinking nature and vision.

Equally important was our understanding of the club itself; by following the club closely, we appreciated the significance of a local, successful business becoming the new shirt sponsor. This space needed to be more than a nice space, it had to embody and reflect the company’s identity and values.
