ITFC commissioned Layrd to design and deliver a high-end premium hospitality experience for the club's directors at Ipswich Stadium, Portman Road. Our team of Stadia designers quickly aligned with their vision and goals to deliver an exclusive design.
Our client envisioned a traditional and classic interior with a refined boutique feel. The new design needed to embody luxury while remaining adaptable for different uses from match-days, private meetings, networking, and exclusive events.
The new design brings a moody, boutique feel, paired with velvety carpets, rich textures, and a palette of deep browns, navy and amber tones.
The space offers everything our client could need to host events, from a kitchen designed for small plates and premium buffets to an acoustic ceiling and modern WC facilities, ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and customised to suit our client’s needs.
Our designers curated sophisticated finishes to deliver a truly premium experience, combining textured flooring finishes, black metal detailing, and brass accents.
The design strikes a balance between traditional elegance and a contemporary edge, creating a space that hosts match-day events with pride, offering panoramic views of the pitch and a refined, memorable atmosphere for every guest.
Bespoke furniture and premium finishes harmonise with rich textures and a refined palette, while acoustically treated floors and ceilings envelop the space in an intimate ambiance.
Designers Touch
Working in collaboration with Designers Touch on styling, procuring and adding the final layer of atmosphere, increasing the suite’s luxurious and welcoming character. Designers Touch added the accessories and finishing touches to the tables and decoration enhancing the full user experience.
The result is a sophisticated environment that combines traditional elegance with a contemporary edge – a showcase of Layrd’s expertise in Stadia Design and hospitality interior design across the UK.
This space was designed to evoke a sense of exclusivity. With uninterrupted, centre-line views of the pitch, it didn’t need heavy branding; instead, the focus was on creating an exceptionally premium lounge suited for both match-day experiences and high-end events on non-match days.
Inspired by the idea of a boutique hotel bar that you could step into directly from the pitch, the design leans into warm, luxurious materials—walnut finishes, textured and patterned fabrics, and a velvet-like floor treatment—all chosen to elevate the space beyond traditional hospitality. Every detail was considered to ensure the environment feels as special and memorable as the experience itself.
