West Stand Executive Boxes
Layrd Design completed a full turnkey transformation of the West Stand Executive Boxes at Ipswich Town Football Club in the summer of 2024.
The work was completed just ahead of the club’s first Premier League match following promotion, elevating the space to meet the expectations of top-tier hospitality. We partnered with GS Contracts on the fit-out, which extended beyond surface finishes to include essential upgrades such as WC refurbishments and electrical works.
The original boxes were uninspiring, with inconsistent finishes and outdated branding. The goal was to bring cohesion, polish and impact across the suite of rooms, while delivering a comfortable, premium experience for guests on matchdays and beyond. Layrd Design reimagined each space as a dark and welcoming interior that reflects the club’s evolving identity and standing.
Neutral wall tones are paired with deep ceilings to create a contemporary backdrop for game viewing, while Ipswich Town’s corporate colours and signage bring energy and consistency throughout. We introduced bespoke joinery including custom media units fitted to each room, ensuring a tailored, high-quality feel across the board.
A key feature of the scheme is the lighting. Carefully positioned wall fixtures and ceiling details allow for adaptable lighting states, from daytime functionality to evening ambience. This flexibility gives each box a dynamic feel, suited to a range of hospitality settings and moods.
Each executive box was reimagined with bespoke furnishings, tonal lighting and premium finishes, all overlooking the pitch at Portman Road.
