AFC Bournemouth Home Dressing Room

Layrd completed AFC Bournemouth’s new first team facilities within a 20-day working window, covering the changing rooms, medical suite, wet areas, and the manager’s office. This turnkey interior fit-out featured bespoke joinery and full project management.

Completed in November 2025, Layrd transformed the outdated space, delivering a design that reimagined both the flow and aesthetic of the room. The result is a modern, functional environment elevated to Premier League standards.

This design enhances the matchday experience for players, with the space carefully planned alongside the new layout. Bespoke furniture and fittings were specified to meet every requirement, with 26 bays now wrapping the perimeter. The new fixed joinery and AV integration ensure the space is fully immersive and functional for its intended use on match days.

Bringing this space in line with the club’s state-of-the-art training facility was a key priority. This changing facility within the stadium itself needed to function differently, with a layout, lighting, and design carefully considered to create a motivational environment. The result supports players in achieving success both on and off the pitch.

The branding of this space is understated yet impactful. A simplified, monotone crest reflects the modern approach to the design, aligning closely with the club’s identity and values. Understatement and flexibility were key: crests sit above each bay, allowing the first team to use the space in multiple ways. Thoughtful lighting and careful placement ensure these features remain subtle but effective.
