Ipswich Town Hall of Fame
In summer 2023, Layrd Design delivered a complete Interior Design & Build scheme for Ipswich Town Football Club.
Tasked with reimagining the Hall of Fame Lounge in the Cobbold Stand at Portman Road, the brief focused on elevating the match day experience while enhancing the space’s usability year-round.
The scope included full renovation of the entrance, stairwell and lounge area. We introduced new LVT flooring, applied a complete decorative scheme and designed a bespoke Hall of Fame wall featuring inset card graphics on a custom timber panel. New upholstered chairs and stools, fitted tables around columns, a bespoke slatted screen, signage, podium and updated lighting bring cohesion and function to the space.
A bold monochrome crest set against rich blue wall panelling brings a contemporary edge to the club’s storied heritage, anchoring the space in Ipswich Town pride.

We placed particular emphasis on sustainability, specifying natural and recyclable materials wherever possible. Tarkett LVT flooring was selected for its eco credentials, and we worked with local trades and suppliers to minimise the project’s carbon footprint.
