Layrd Design named regional partner of AFC Bournemouth

We’re proud to announce our new Regional Partnership with AFC Bournemouth, building on an established relationship that has already seen us transform spaces across Vitality Stadium.

We’ve officially joined AFC Bournemouth as a Regional Partner, marking an exciting new chapter in our relationship with the club.

‍

For us, this partnership is an opportunity to continue working alongside a club that shares our ambition to create exceptional environments, strengthen its identity and deliver outstanding experiences for players, staff and supporters.

‍

From The Dressing Room to the Stadium.

‍

Our relationship with AFC Bournemouth began with the transformation of the club’s first-team home dressing room.

‍

Completed in November 2025, we reimagined the 185sqm space in just 20 working days. The new environment introduced bespoke player bays, integrated technology, flexible lighting and a carefully considered layout, creating a modern space designed around the demands of a Premier League matchday.

‍

The project gave us the opportunity to understand the club from the inside and lay the foundations for what has become an ongoing relationship.

‍

This summer, we returned to Vitality Stadium to deliver further work across the club, with projects spanning to the East Stand, the players’ tunnel and the retail store.

‍

‍

Designing the Modern Football Environment

‍

We believe the modern stadium is about far more than what happens on the pitch.

‍

Every space, from where a supporter enters the stadium, to the spaces players move through on matchday, contributes to the overall experience. Great design has the power to create atmosphere, communicate identity and bring people closer to a club.

‍

That’s the approach we bring to every sports project we work on.

‍

“We’re incredibly proud to become a Regional Partner of AFC Bournemouth and to continue building on what has already been a fantastic relationship,” said Will Mayes, Founder and CEO of Layrd.

‍

“Working on the home dressing room in 2025 was just the start of our work together. To then return this summer and work across further areas of the stadium is an exciting progression.

‍

“We believe great sports environments should do more than look good. They should create atmosphere, communicate identity and perform for the people using them: fans, players and staff alike. These spaces are increasingly designed to boost performance and engagement, while also helping clubs grow revenue. That's what makes this partnership so exciting for us, and we're looking forward to continuing to work alongside the club.”

Client Testimonial‍

‍
“Layrd have already become a familiar presence around Vitality Stadium, having played a key role in transforming a number of spaces across the stadium and, importantly, understanding what makes AFC Bournemouth unique.

“The work they delivered on our first-team dressing room was a significant project, and to see that relationship develop further through their work across the East Stand, players’ tunnel and retail store has been fantastic.

“This partnership gives us the opportunity to build on that work and explore new ways of working together. We’re excited to see where the relationship can go from here.”

Looking Ahead

‍

Our partnership with AFC Bournemouth represents another exciting step in our growing work across sports and stadia, where we’re challenging traditional approaches to stadium design and creating environments that bring together performance, hospitality, identity and experience.

‍

We’re proud of the work we’ve already delivered at the Vitality Stadium, and excited about what comes next.
