Future Spaces 2027 is back, and better than before.

Performance is shaped by leadership, science, recovery, technology, culture, wellbeing and, increasingly, by the physical environments people live, work, train and perform in. Future Spaces exists to explore that idea.
The Line-Up
Hosting this year's event is Jake Humphrey, one of the UK's most recognised voices on performance, leadership and modern mindset. As a broadcaster, author, entrepreneur and host of the High-Performance podcast, Jake has spent more than two decades at the heart of elite sport, speaking to some of the world's most accomplished athletes, leaders and thinkers. His work explores the habits, environments, cultures and mindsets that enable people to perform at their best.
He's joined by Sam Warburton OBE, the former Wales and British & Irish Lions captain, who brings first-hand experience of elite sport, leadership and high-performing teams. Having captained at the highest level, Sam understands the pressure, culture and collective responsibility required to perform when the stakes are high, and his perspective extends beyond the pitch into the leadership principles that enable teams and individuals to succeed. Entrepreneur and author Sahar Hashemi OBE is also confirmed, bringing a different perspective again. Known for challenging convention and championing innovation, Sahar explores what it takes to think differently, create change and build something new.

The Research Panel
One perspective of Future Spaces 2027 comes from our Research Panel, bringing together three distinct voices on human performance and the relationship between people and their environments.
Dr Elizabeth C. Nelson, a renowned scientist, acclaimed author and trusted advisor to leading organisations, holds a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering and has built her career exploring how physical and cultural environments influence human performance, wellbeing and potential. Sophie Schuller is a researcher in neuroarchitecture and cognitive neuroscience, investigating how the built environment influences stress, cognitive performance and how we think and feel; she is currently finalising her PhD at TU Eindhoven and holds a Research Fellowship at the University of Cambridge. Heather Wray PhD, scientist and innovator, rounds out the panel with a further perspective on scientific thinking, innovation and human performance.
Business and Leadership
Simon Jordan of We Make Progress will lead a session on Translating Elite Performance into Business & Leadership, exploring how the same principles, leadership, culture, decision-making, resilience and accountability, apply across every area of performance. Whether you're playing, coaching, running the spaces people perform in, or working in fitness, wellness and recovery, the underlying question stays the same: what enables people to perform at their best.

The Future of Stadiums
The event also hosts a panel dedicated to the modern stadium, Future Stadiums: Designing for Performance, Revenue & Fan Experience. Stadiums are changing. They are no longer simply a place people visit for a match, game or competition. Modern stadiums and sports facilities are becoming destinations, hospitality environments, commercial assets and experiences in their own right. This panel brings together perspectives from across professional football to explore how stadiums need to evolve across three increasingly interconnected priorities: performance, in creating environments that support players, staff and the wider club; revenue, in unlocking new commercial opportunities beyond matchday; and fan experience, in creating destinations people want to visit, return to and spend time in.
Be in the Room
Around 150 people from across sport, wellness & recovery, science, business, property, performance and design will come together at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, creating something difficult to replicate elsewhere: the opportunity to meet people who approach the same challenges from completely different perspectives.
